Is this you?
Most people who come to us for Dermal Fillers say one of these things:
My face looks more tired and hollow than I feel.
I'd like my lips done, but subtly. Nothing like the photos that put me off.
The shadows under my eyes make me look exhausted in every photo.
My jawline has softened and I'd like some definition back.
There's a bump on my nose I've hated for years, but surgery feels too far.
I want someone who'll tell me what NOT to do.
A consultant who operates on faces knows exactly when filler is the answer, and when it isn't. That judgement is what you're really booking.
VOLUME, STRUCTURE, BALANCE
What are dermal fillers and how do they work?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels, most based on hyaluronic acid, a molecule your skin makes naturally, used to restore lost volume, smooth deeper lines and subtly enhance contours. As collagen and facial fat diminish with age, fillers replace structure beneath the skin's surface; results are visible immediately and typically last between 6 and 18 months depending on the product, area and your metabolism.
The gel is carefully injected beneath the skin using a fine needle or cannula, where it lifts, supports and adds definition while preserving natural expression. Mr Yue's approach is anatomically informed: product, depth and volume are chosen for the specific structures of your face, not applied by template. Done well, the effect is restored volume where it has been lost, softened folds, better balance between features and a face that still moves like yours. We also offer HarmonyCa, a hybrid filler that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite for both lifting and collagen stimulation.

WHERE FILLERS HELP
Treatment areas
Enhance natural shape, restore subtle volume, and refine definition to create a balanced, harmonious smile.
Refresh the under-eye area by reducing hollowness and dark shadows, helping you look more awake.
Restore lost volume and contour through precise placement, lifting the midface to create youthful fullness.
Define and contour the lower face, improving profile symmetry and enhancing facial structure.
Gently soften deeper folds around the mouth and chin, restoring smoothness.
Rebalance areas of volume loss to create a smoother contour, improving overall facial harmony.
Refine the shape of the nose through targeted filler placement, achieving a straighter profile.
Replenish lost volume and smooth thinning skin to reduce visibility of veins and tendons.

WHICH TREATMENT IS RIGHT?
When filler is right, and when it isn't
Filler answers a structural question: lost volume, weak projection, an imbalance to correct. If the issue is skin quality (dullness, crepiness, fine lines everywhere), skin boosters or polynucleotides will do more than filler ever will. If it's movement lines, anti-wrinkle treatment is the tool. And if the honest answer is that surgery would serve you better, you're in one of the few clinics whose consultant can both tell you and, in time, provide it. We'd rather lose a filler booking than overfill a face.
WHY APEX?
Led by clinicians who
operate on faces.
Aesthetic treatment at Apex Medical is led by Mr Dominic Yue, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, and Dr Sara Sherif, Consultant Dermatologist. Every filler treatment is planned and delivered using anatomically informed techniques, by clinicians who understand the structures beneath the skin because they operate on them. Treatments take place in a CQC-registered hospital setting, with medical oversight before, during and after your appointment. That combination, consultant expertise in a regulated clinical environment, is rare in aesthetics and it is the standard here.

Ongoing Care
Dermal Fillers Aftercare
Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising around the injection sites is normal and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours; lips can take a little longer. Results are visible immediately and refine over the following two weeks as any swelling resolves.
For the first 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and makeup over the treated area. Avoid saunas, sunbeds and extreme heat for two weeks, and don't press or massage the treated area unless your consultant has asked you to.
You'll leave with direct aftercare contact details. If you notice anything unusual, blanching of the skin, increasing pain, or discolouration that spreads, call us straight away rather than waiting for a routine review. In a consultant-led clinic, a clinician answers.
One further reassurance: the hyaluronic acid fillers we use are dissolvable. In the rare event of a problem, or if you simply change your mind, the product can be broken down safely with hyaluronidase by our consultant team.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about dermal fillers at Apex Medical
Most of the fillers we use are based on hyaluronic acid, a molecule your skin produces naturally, which is why they integrate so well and can be dissolved if ever needed. We also offer biostimulatory options such as HarmonyCa, which combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite to lift and stimulate your own collagen.
Yes, and they often are. Fillers restore structure, anti-wrinkle treatment softens movement lines, and skin boosters improve the quality of the skin itself. Your consultant will assess your face as a whole and recommend a combination only where it genuinely serves the result.
Very little. Mild swelling or bruising at the injection points is common and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours. Most patients return to normal activities the same day, avoiding strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours.
Results typically last 6 to 18 months, depending on the product, treatment area and your metabolism. Lips tend to sit at the shorter end of that range, structural areas such as cheeks and jawline at the longer end. Your consultant will give you an honest maintenance timeline for your plan.
Not here. Fillers are placed strategically to enhance facial harmony, never to change your core features. Our consultant-led approach favours restraint: subtle volume, placed precisely, refined over time if needed. We would rather do less and review than overfill.
That depends entirely on who does it and how much they use. We strongly avoid the "overfilled" look. Treatment starts by listening to what you don't want, then works in small, precise amounts to enhance your natural lip shape rather than replace it.
Typically 12 to 18 months. Filler is placed to straighten the profile, smooth a bump or lift the tip, with results visible immediately. It refines the nose rather than reducing it, and if your goal is truly surgical, your Consultant Plastic Surgeon will say so plainly.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks the product down safely. It is one of the reasons we favour HA fillers: the treatment is adjustable and, if ever needed, reversible. Few decisions in aesthetics come with that safety net.
Yes. We treat patients aged 18 and over only, in line with UK regulation and our own clinical standards. Every treatment begins with a face-to-face consultation and a medical assessment.
